If there is one pic that could be put on the obituary of conservatism, it’s this pic of British philosopher Roger Scruton visiting Michaela to talk about philosophy and fox hunting, where he allegedly was met with blank stares and mild ridicule.
Don’t get me wrong. I respect Scruton and have read the majority of his books. His writings on conservatism, aesthetics, classical music and modern philosophy are superb. But this pic symbolizes the changing times. The 20th century was the century of competing ideas like liberalism and conservatism – which largely took place within white homogenous states. The 21st century will be the century of ethno-politics.
What’s the problem?
I just see a bunch of little future Scrutons.
I also don’t see what the problem is. This pic could be right out of a Jane Austen or Anthony Trollope novel.
Or, a documentary on Jane Goodall

It seems a lot of conservative thinkers like that refuse to really get down and dirty with the race issue, which isn’t to say that they should go all 14/88, but conservative writers who refuse to tackle the race issue are of decreasing relevance to this world, and this century.
If you ask me, Neoreaction is the first attempt in our century to really fill this void. I imagine in time, there will be others.
If you’re not pro-white, you’re a liberal.
” which isn’t to say that they should go all 14/88″
and why not?
A typical 17 year old skinhead? My lying eyes tell me otherwise, if it comes to local variety.

I see narcissism, willful blindness and a complete disrespect for oneself and thus others.
This type of racial dishonesty is not admirable, it is coercive and destructive.
Not moral behavior.
It is official; Netcraft now confirms: Conservatism is dying
One more crippling bombshell hit the already beleaguered Conservatism community when Rasmussen confirmed that Conservative market share has dropped yet again, now down to less than a fraction of 1 percent of all servers. Coming close on the heels of a recent Netcraft survey which plainly states that Conservatism has lost more market share, this news serves to reinforce what we’ve known all along. Conservatism is collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last in the recent Twitter comprehensive networking test.
You don’t need to be a Kreskin to predict Conservatism’s future. The hand writing is on the wall: Conservatism faces a bleak future. In fact there won’t be any future at all for Conseravtism because Conservatism is dying. Things are looking very bad for Conservatism. As many of us are already aware, Conservatism continues to lose market share. Red ink flows like a river of blood.
Neoconservatism is the most endangered of them all, having lost 93% of its core developers. The sudden and unpleasant departures of long time Neoconservatism developers Henry Kissinger and Richard Cheney only serve to underscore the point more clearly. There can no longer be any doubt: Neoconservatism is dying.
Let’s keep to the facts and look at the numbers.
Christian Conservatism leader Theo states that there are 7000 users of Christian Conservatism. How many users of Libertarianism are there? Let’s see. The number of Christian Conservative versus Libertarian posts on Usenet is roughly in ratio of 5 to 1. Therefore there are about 7000/5 = 1400 Libertarianism users. Anarchocapitalist posts on Usenet are about half of the volume of Libertarian posts. Therefore there are about 700 users of Anarchocapialism. A recent article put Neoconservatism at about 80 percent of the Conservatism market. Therefore there are (7000+1400+700)*4 = 36400 Conservatism users. This is consistent with the number of Conservatism Usenet posts.
Due to the troubles of Cato Institute, abysmal sales and so on, Neoconservatism went out of business and was taken over by Sheldon Adelson who sell another troubled OS. Now Zionist Neoconservatism is also dead, its corpse turned over to yet another charnel house.
All major surveys show that Conservatism has steadily declined in market share. Conservatism is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If Conservatism is to survive at all it will be among OS dilettante dabblers. Conservatism continues to decay. Nothing short of a cockeyed miracle could save Conservatism from its fate at this point in time. For all practical purposes, Conservatism is dead.
Fact: Conservatism is dying
Reblogged this on Philosophies of a Disenchanted Scholar.
I was talking with a friend of a friend the other day. This guy is a local Republican party official. I told him that it was disappointing seeing the Republican party pandering to the Mexican vote. He replied to me, with complete seriousness, “Mexicans are natural born conservatives.” I changed the subject.
We’ve always had ethnopolitics (which is simply tribalism) but, for nation states, these have generally been external forces – the stuff of international relations, and conflict. The problem is that we’ve invited tribalism into our home, and we can look to the Middle East or Africa to see how well that works. A nation can foster the competition of ideas, like you say, which is a productive conflict borne of mutual understanding and the mutual respect cultivated by that understanding. Tribalism can only lead to destructive, bitter conflict which produces nothing. A nation which permits, tolerates, or welcomes tribal conflict within itself is not a nation.
