The Cultural Marxist Ghettoization of Northern Folkways

As has already been noted at Occam’s Razor (here, here, here, here and here), one of the on-going wars of Cultural Marxists / the Cathedral is the war against traditional European folkways, most recently demonstrated by the ghettoization of Western norms.  Yes, one sees the usual suspects behind all this, although others, like blacks and mestizos, are quick to join in, and their bête noire above all others is often the traditional folkways of Germanic peoples.

Exhibit A:  A recent piece by some black woman named Aisha Harris at Slate, entitled “Santa Claus Should Not Be a White Man Anymore.”  Yes, she thinks Santa henceforth should be a negro, nevermind the historical reality of Santa, which is: Santa is a composite of various European pagan and Christian figures, starting with Odin leading his ghostly yule procession through the sky, which was later overlaid with Christian elements like the Sinterklaas stories of central and northern Europe.  In short, Santa is European, which is precisely why these people want to wallpaper over him.

Exhibit B:  The recent Hobbit movie: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (released today).   Although this movie suffers from other problems, such as superfluous action scenes at the expense of story, this is the first movie of LotR franchise that displays diversity, although it is minimal.  Early on, some negro bounty hunter is briefly seen, and later in the film, at the Lake-town, one sees various negroes and other non-whites standing around with wassup? expressions on their faces.  Disappointing.  Peter Jackson was able to withstand Cultural Marxist pressures in his first four movies, but the pressure must have been too great.  (Looking at who now controls New Line Cinema, one shouldn’t be surprised.)  Of course, all of this is quite egregious when contrasted with Tolkien’s linguistic-mythological melieu, which is grounded in Germanic paganism. (There were dark people in Tolkien’s writings, but they were from the south (Endor / the Hither Lands, not Middle Earth), evil and sided with Sauron, and probably looked more like Asian Indians than negroes.)

Of course, there are other examples, like the movie Thor, which has already been thoroughly discussed by others.

One can only imagine the uproar if, for example, people tried to wallpaper over the racial realities of Chinese or African folkways.  Only whites, suffering from pathological altruism, seem to tolerate the complete and deliberate sabotaging of their folkways.  I, for one, am tired of it.

On a lighter, and final note, Hobbit #2 finally delivers its first Black resident. You won’t even need a quick set of eyeballs, as the camera focuses on this townsperson at least twice to make sure you notice. I’m sure Peter Jackson feels this buys him an “Escape the racist accusation” card.

Not so fast, Pete!

For some reason, likely a “racist” one, this lone Black extra is cast in the Middle Earth equivalent of Detroit – Laketown (eerily evocative of Motown). For all their focus on aesthetic quality, this team of Kiwi filmmakers had to eventually cave in to the forces of political correctness, who have been crusading for a rainbow Middle Earth since the release of The Lord of the Rings trilogy a decade ago. No doubt this token Black will only wet the appetites of the Multicult and accusations of even deeper levels of racism are sure to follow this act of appeasement. Say a prayer of thanks that filming is complete for the Hobbit series and gird yourself for Hollywood’s adaptation of The Silmarillion.

But it gets worse. As the greedy, scheming master of Laketown (played by the Jew Stephen Fry) addresses his people, the camera pans over the audience. At first, I thought some Uruk Hai had crept in. But no, when the camera returned again and again, it became clear that Laketown is afflicted with dark, vibrant, nappy racial diversity.

Peter Jackson endured more than a decade of kvetching about the “racism” of his faithful adaptation of The Lord of the Rings, in which the races of Middle Earth are portrayed as white and their enemies dark. But now he has caved. The first Hobbit movie pullulates with pasty orcs and goblins. And now we have Negroes and Papuans in frigid Laketown.

This movie is an insult to the taste and intelligence of its audience and to the memory of J. R. R. Tolkien. I can’t recommend it, and it will only be out of a sense of duty to you, my audience, that I will rouse myself to see the final film next December.

Continuing along with the theme of the Catholic Church declaring war on the West, it got me to thinking about the most prominent “conservative Catholic” politician in the USA, Sam Brownback, and some of Brownback’s fetishes, such as:

– Not allowing white South Africans to immigrate to USA, although blacks commit genocide against them

– Encouraging tons of non-whites, esp. mestizos, to immigrate to the USA

– And encouraging white people, instead of birthing white babies, to adopt non-white babies

This is what Brownback does in his spare time; he’s even teamed up with George Clooney to attempt to achieve some of the above goals.

Of course, Brownback is not alone in these goals, as they even extend to prominent Protestants like Richard Land, John Piper, and Russell Moore.  Christian Cultural Marxism is the norm among nearly all sects of Christianity in the West.

More recently, the ever maudlin Rod Dreher was praising the likes of Caleb Stegall, representative of a new type of “crunchy-con localism”. It’s interesting that for these religious conservatives “localism” seems only to extend to baseball and BBQ, and not the traditional understanding of ethnos or gens, as Stegall made a legal practice of representing whites who tried to steal black babies from Haiti (because Jesus told them to do so).  Jim Jones’ notion of the Rainbow Family, extreme during its day, is now the norm for many mainstream Christians.

In short, the modern system is set up to reward whites who encourage pathological altruism and whites to reduce their inclusive fitness, and Christianity is a major player in this system.  Anyone who doesn’t see this is willfully blind or a liar.

Is there any hope that a new, pro-Western form of Christianity could arise, or is Christianity in the West doomed?

Is The American Conservative Going Out of Business?

Well, not just quite yet, but I suspect that it will within a couple years.   The magazine has become a politically correct bore.

TAC started as an exciting venture, headed by Pat Buchanan, Taki Theodoracopulos, and Scott McConnell.  But by 2007, both Buchanan and Taki were gone (although TAC still runs Buchanan’s syndicated columns), and TAC slid ever more toward becoming a mouthpiece for the Cathedral.  Ron Unz took over around 2007.  And while Unz did publish some flawed pieces (most notably on Hispanic crime and race and IQ), he did publish some winners, such as on Jewish affirmative action at elite colleges  and Chinese eugenics.  Unfortunately, TAC wouldn’t publish Unz’s most recent piece on black crime, which led to the board firing him as publisher and replacing him with Jon Utley.

Apparently, the editor at TAC said everyone already knows about black crime, so nothing needs to be said.  Greg Cochran begs to differ.   What a joke TAC has become.

Who is Jon Basil Utley?  I don’t know much about him, but allegedly he wants to make TAC more like an anti-interventionist National Review.  And, like many neocons, he is of a Russian Ashkenazi background.    While Utley is allegedly an anti-interventionist (or perhaps a more moderate liberal internationalist?) and even critical of the Israel lobby, he seems quite politically correct.  For instance, while he’s correct to criticize Christian Zionist fundamentalists for promoting war in the Middle East, he criticizes them for being against mass Third World immigration into Western countries. (Huh? I guess they should welcome their genetic replacement?)  Or Mitt Romney’s mild criticism of illegal immigration during the Republican primary Utley calls a “tremendous calumny against immigrants.” In other words, it’s wrong for Westerners to question their own extinction.  Under Utley, can we expect TAC even more vigorously to parrot the Cultural Marxist open-borders propaganda?

A friend with ties to TAC tells me that TAC is really strapped for cash and might not be around much longer; allegedly, none of their traditional donors wants to give them more money.  Geez, I wonder why?

Christianity turns brown, loud and obnoxious

As noted by Richard Dawkins and Richard Spencer on Twitter, The New York Times is now praising African Christianity, most notably “speaking in tongues.”  T. M. Luhrmann writes:

LAST month I was in Accra, Ghana, to learn more about the African version of the new charismatic Christian churches that have become so popular in the United States and are now proliferating in sub-Saharan Africa, especially Ghana and Nigeria. What struck me was how much people spoke in tongues: language-like sounds (usually, repeated phonemes from the speaker’s own language) thought by those who use them to be a language God knows but the speaker does not.

Of course, if the religious practice in question involved High Church European Christianity emphasizing European folkways such as classical music, the author would probably ignore it, if not show disdain.  But drop the average IQ of the practice 30 points or so, make it brown, and make it obnoxious, and the NY Times is in love.   As noted by others, “Non-Western Christianity is now the norm outside the West (e.g. African Christianity in Africa and Mestizo Christianity in Latin America), and Christian Cultural Marxism is now the norm in Western countries.”  In short, this phenomenon is sadly typical — both the African practice and the Western praise.

Looking toward the future in the West, will an explicitly Pro-Western variety of Christianity catch on, will people turn to neopaganism, or will atheism and agnosticism become more popular?  (A modified version of a previous poll.)

Black Hollywood Actors Educate Us on Evil America

There is an interview at Parade.com with Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker, who are costars in The Butler, an upcoming movie directed by Lee Daniels (also interviewed and also black).

The Butler seems to be another of Hollywood’s attempts to get black people to keep bemoaning “white culture” as it examines life in the White (!) House through the benevolent and undoubtedly wise eyes of the titular black butler who served under eight of America’s presidents, all of whom were terribly white. It is an effort to shame white people for having the audacity to move on and progress beyond the middle of the last century. I guess America doesn’t hear enough of what black people think about these issues.

Team Obama Wants Every Neighborhood in the USA to be a Ghetto

Fox News reports:

The federal government is getting serious about pushing racial and ethnic diversity into America’s neighborhoods–and is using big data and big money to achieve its aims.

A new interactive database will help regulators, local housing officials and individuals take action on a newly proposed regulation that would require agencies to “affirmatively further” the inclusion of minority residents in white neighborhoods.

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan announced the database and regulation at last week’s NAACP convention, saying the Obama administration was battling “a quieter form of discrimination” that was “just as harmful” as long-outlawed segregationist practices, like racially restrictive property covenants.

And so the progressive narrative has come to its logical end.  Deep in their hearts, even progressives know that blacks and mestizos will never be high achievers, so, instead of the quaint old narrative of lifting up the disenfranchised, the final narrative is to turn white enclaves of success into ghettos.  We’re now witnessing the terminal stage of the dispossession of European-descended peoples.

Blacks on twitter threaten random violence

In light of the Zimmerman verdict, as predicted, blacks as of this hour are not only rioting in at least five cities, but are behaving quite badly on Twitter.  They’re promising to loot, rape, burn and and even kill people.  And nevermind that Zimmerman isn’t even white (but mestizo), blacks are threatening violence against whites too!  Gotta love diversity!

Human Nature vs. Hollywood Political Correctness

Frank Salter’s recent series of articles on the war against human nature got me to thinking about Hollywood’s undeclared war against human nature and reality.  It often seems to be the case that if reality is X then Hollywood’s prescription will be not X.

Traditionally, stereotypes are in accordance with reality.  Like oral epic poetry, traditional stereotypes are the accumulation of generational wisdom of various folkways. Unhappy with the reality of the stereotypes, however, many Cultural Marxists began in the mid 20th century to try to reverse these stereotypes, the idea being that if the stereotype is reversed, so reality will be reversed.  Hollywood has  followed suit.

Examples of Hollywood representations contrary to reality:

– The dumb blonde.  This really goes back to post-WWII anxiety.  Unfortunately for Hollywood, countries with high percentages of blonds, such as Sweden or Norway, have some of the highest average IQs on the planet.

– Evil Germans.  Perhaps no single group has been more denigrated by Hollywood than Germans or people of German ancestry.  The epitome of falsehood of this fiction is the creation of the “German terrorist” in movies such as Die Hard.

– The wise negro.  In this fiction, whites are lost and without guidance but along comes a “wise negro” to give advice and direction.  Morgan Freeman has made an entire career out of this character.  Has anyone ever met a white person in real life guided by a “wise negro”?

– Widespread miscegenation.  Although miscegenation is now more common than it was 50 years ago, it’s still statistically rare in reality but extremely overrepresented in movies.

– Violent white criminals.  Although there are violent white criminals, blacks make up 13% of the US population but commit around 59% of felony homicides.  Violent whites are overrepresented and violent blacks underrepresented in movies.

– The evil rich WASP.  Although there still are rich WASPs, WASPs are no longer the elite in control of the USA; Ashkenazis are, yet they’re never vilified.

– Over-representation of non-whites in period pieces.  In the 1960 census, the USA was 90% white.  But from period pieces of the early 20th century, one would infer that the USA was around 50% non-white.

– Smart black judges and doctors putting dumb whites in their place.  Given the average IQ of blacks, this is comical.

– Whites sexually taking advantage of  blacks. Odd considering: “In the United States in 2005, 37,460 white females were sexually assaulted or raped by a black man, while between zero and ten black females were sexually assaulted or raped by a white man.”

– Peaceful Amerindians.  As discovered by Lawrence Keeley, many Amerindians were committing genocide against each other prior to contact with Europeans.

– Peaceful Muslims misunderstood by violent Westerners.

– Swarthy females, such as Kim Kardashian, peddled as the epitome of female beauty, when, as Peter Frost has shown, the overwhelming preference is for fair females.

– Pathologically altruistic beta males getting the ladies.  Chateau Heartiste can show you this is not true.

– Nordic-looking dumb villains, outsmarted by swarthier-looking smarter outsiders.

– Too uptight whites (exercising good impulse control?) who need to follow more free-flowing (poor impulse control?) blacks in order to loosen up.

– Third World immigration enriching Western countries (although in reality ruining Western countries).  This is a relatively new representation but one that will continue to grow.

While these false representations created by Hollywood won’t overturn human nature, they can certainly do damage and confuse many people.  For instance, many Americans and foreigners, when asked the percentage of the USA they believe to be black, will answer around 50%, which is probably due to the over-representation of blacks in movies.

95% of White Americans Have No African Ancestry

According to some recent population genetics surveys, around 95% of white Americans (European Americans) have no black (Sub-Sahara African) ancestry.  And the 5% of whites who do, seem to have only a trivial amount.

Nonetheless, the average admixture of African Americans seems to be around 80% black and 20% European.

What does this mean?

First, the USA historically has not been a hotbed of miscegenation as Cultural Marxists like to tell us.  Your eyes and common sense should tell you that if there were widespread miscegenation, there would be hardly any white Americans but rather large mestizo/mulatto-like populations such as one finds in many Latin American countries (and even there, small white upper classes still exist).

Second, the people in USA tended to cross the color line in only one direction: white —> black. Mulatto people would identify as black and then reintegrate into the black gene pool.

Which brings us to another question, why do mulattoes almost always identify as black?

The standard Cultural Marxist answer to this question is because of culture, such as the one-drop rule.  But the reality of the situation belies this half-truth.

The most straightforward answer is what Oxford zoologist Jonathan Kingdon suggested in 1996:  black looks are dominant while other looks are recessive.  Observation seems to bear this out.  A person with only 1/16th black ancestry will still often have visible black characteristics, whereas a white person with 1/16th Japanese ancestry would probably pass for 100% white.

In other words, the reason why most mulattoes identify as black is at least in part biological.  Perhaps the white phenotype really is recessive and is easily diminished.

Penis Snathcing on the Rise in Africa

In other news, penis snatching is on the rise in Africa.  While Europeans have quaint hobbies like stamp collecting and bird watching, Africans have penis snatching.

The Malleus Maleficarum reference is gratuitous political correctness, as it’s the equivalent of “Evidence of UFO’s” manual for 15th century Europe. As far as I know, there is no real evidence of widespread penis snatching in 15th century Europe.  If it truly were widespread, it would be widely documented.

There might very well be a primitive drive for penis snatching.  When a rising alpha chimpanzee overthrows a reigning alpha, he sometimes will tear off his testicles and penis.  (See here, here and here.)

Are Sub-Sahara Africans Part Mangani?

NBC reports:

“Scientists say an African-American male’s odd genetic signature suggests that the human Y chromosome’s lineage goes back further in time than they thought — perhaps due to interbreeding with other populations such as Neanderthals.”

It probably isn’t Neanderthal, since most Neanderthal DNA seems to be in Europeans and North Asians, nor Denisovan, since their legacy seems primarily to lie with Melanesians and Australian Aborigines.  It’s possibly another unknown hominin in Africa, which might be associated with in some way what Gregory Cochran has joked that we should call Mangani.  (Peter Frost here speculates on African admixture with various archaic hominins.)

The NBC article continues:

That goes further back than the fossil record goes for anatomically modern humans, Hammer said. “The fossil record speaks to 195,000 years or 200,000 years,” he said. It also goes further back than the previous date for the most recent common ancestor based on Y-chromosome analysis, which is in the range of 142,000 years….

Melissa Wilson Sayres, a geneticist at the University of California at Berkeley who played no role in Hammer’s study, said the new findings were “exciting” because they pointed to a Y-chromosome lineage more ancient than any others. “They just happened to come across this one Y chromosome that was hidden for so long, and it’s very likely that there are more hidden Y chromosomes around the world,” she told NBC News.

She said one of the biggest debates in the study of human genetics has to do with how to match mutation rates with time scales — and she expects this latest study to add to the debate. For example, some might continue to argue that the most recent common ancestor lived more recently than 338,000 years ago. “It will still be the oldest Y-chromosome heritage that we have, but I can foresee that some people might disagree with that specific age,” she said.

In the long term, this might refine our understanding of genetic distances (and genetic lineages) among the races – in that the various races are not even completely the same species.  As Cavalli-Sforza’s team found:

“Cavalli-Sforza’s team compiled extraordinary tables depicting the “genetic distances” separating 2,000 different racial groups from each other. For example, assume the genetic distance between the English and the Danes is equal to 1.0. Then, Cavalli-Sforza has found, the separation between the English and the Italians would be about 2.5 times as large as the English-Danish difference. On this scale, the Iranians would be 9 times more distant genetically from the English than the Danish, and the Japanese 59 times greater. Finally, the gap between the English and the Bantus (the main group of sub-Saharan blacks) is 109 times as large as the distance between the English and the Danish.”

Will these distances even widen in a conceptual sense as we find out about new lineages?
